Where Pigs Fly and Wollombi Lunch
WEDNESDAY 20TH AUGUST 2025 / $125 P/PERSON
Join us this morning as we make our way to Wollombi with morning tea on arrival, beware you may have to share with the animals on this one at Where Pigs Fly Farm Sanctuary, this was founded in 2014 with a mission to protect farmed animals from harm and promote the benefits of a compassionate, cruelty-free lifestyle.
As one of the leading farmed animal sanctuaries in Australia, they have rescued and cared for hundreds of survivors of cruelty, neglect and abandonment. For many animals, they are their last chance at life. Located in the Wollombi Valley, the sanctuary is home to more than 200 rescued cows, donkeys, pigs, goats, turkeys and other animals – each with an individual story to tell. There, every animal is recognised as an individual with a name, not a number. They are seen as friends, not food. Through their stories, these animal ambassadors are transforming perspectives across generations. A picnic Lunch is also included today after a stroll through the township of Wollombi itself.
